Hi, I'm Mel – Founder of KAIR Speech Therapy
I'm a speech therapist based in Perth, Western Australia and a proud mum of three – KAIR is named after the first initials of my kids! I've been fortunate to work with clients in Perth as well as regional and remote communities across WA, delivering speech therapy where it's needed most.
I believe therapy is most effective when it takes place in the environments where people live, learn, and connect – whether that's at home, in school, daycare, or out in the community. My approach is play-based and tailored to each childs unique interests and needs, ensuring therapy is meaningful and empowering.

Speech Pathology Service Areas:
o Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
o Early language development (e.g., late talkers, speech delay)
o Lisps
o Clarity of speech (e.g., articulation of sounds)
o Functional communication
o Early literacy
o Reading and writing
o AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) assessment and implementation
Types of service activities:
o Initial speech and/or language assessments, re-evaluations, second opinions
o Ongoing therapy
o Attendance at case conferences, NDIS planning meetings, school observations
o 15min per session allocated for feedback/communication correspondence with family/support staff, and personalising resources for the session
o Report writing: summary or comprehensive, NDIS reports or communication device applications
o Customised resources e.g., therapy books for home practice, visual supports.

I provide a mobile service therefore, therapy is provided in your home, school, daycare, the community or I can book a location in your town for a clinic visit.
I currently provide services in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Mt Burgess, Geraldton and Mullewa.
I am not NDIS registered and therefore can not see agency managed clients. I am able to see plan and self managed clients.
I charge inline with the current NDIS rate based on your location:
MM1-MM5 $193.99/hour,
MM6 $271.59/hour,
MM7 $290.99/hour.

Yes, travel time and km's are charged at the current NDIS rate. Please contact me to discuss this based on your specific location.
At this time, services are offered only to pre school and school-aged children.
